We’ve all heard the adage: “when women support each other, incredible things happen.” Olives & Grace can attest to this truth first hand. We are so grateful to be in a neighborhood that feels the same way about the current state of affairs as we do. The response we have received from the neighborhood while supporting Planned Parenthood and the ACLU has been overwhelming and more enthusiastic than we could have hoped for. We’re so touched by the eagerness to give back to these organizations and the support towards our female makers. We are inspired everyday to put more products in our store that are fighting the good fight.
"In the Company of Women" by Grace Bonney seems to be the perfect way to promote everything that is important to us these days. The book is a wealth of inspiration from female entrepreneurs and artists from around the world. What better way to celebrate Women's Day on March 8th than to promote this goldmine of girl power? The best part: all books come with a signed bookmark from the author and the profits will be donated to the ACLU.
In celebration of International Women’s Day - and the Day without Women- we wanted to share a few ways to participate in this historic day around Boston. The organizers of the strike have offered these three ways to participate: 1) Take the day off, 2) Refrain from shopping (from non-women and minority owned shops), and 3) Wear red in solidarity.
